Sending Love

Sending Love - 39, originally uploaded by danselan.
Sorry this picture is a little blurry! I took it with my iPhone - turned out ok considering the camera!

I made this card, which is a bit of a different style for me after discovering Kristina Werner's blog, and watching this video. Can you believe she wrote that sentiment? Amazing! She inspired the design as well as the breaking out of my SU background stamps!!!

Anyway, thanks for stopping by!

Card Details:
Paper: SU Basic Gray, SU "Sending Love" DP, PTI Sweet Blush
Ink: SU Basic Gray
Stamps: SU Linen background
Misc: Silver sharpie, SU scallop trim border punch, CPE felt heart, button from my stash, 1 3/4" circle punch from SU

Three Hearts

Three Hearts - 30, originally uploaded by danselan.

I created this card based on the "Compose a Card" challenge a couple weeks ago from Becky Oehlers. I absolutely love the result, though I didn't get it uploaded in time to participate - oh well, it was super fun to try. My favorite part of this card is how the ribbon turned out wrapped around three times. I think I'll use that again :-)

Card Details:
Paper: SU Vanilla, SU Kraft, PTI Lavender Moon, SU "Sending Love" DP
Ink: SU Mauve Mist
Stamps: PTI Mixed Messages
Misc: SU Heart to Heart punch, Nicole Crafts ribbon, PTI Vintage Button
Card Number: 30

lots of hearts! A long time ago I bought a big stack of patterned paper that I never seem to know what to do with. This one is fun because the hearts have so many different patterns that it made sense to pair them with some more patterns :-)

Ink: SU Markers (Rose Romance, Baroque Burgandy, Taken With Teal, Orchid Opulence)
Stamps: SU So Many Sayings, SU hearts from unknown set (was a hostess gift a long time ago)

Two More Valentines

I have two more valentines cards for you today. This first one is fairly simple. I think red, white, and gray make a great classic valentine combo :-)

Card Details:
Stamps: Greeting for all Seasons, Wonderful Words
- SU
Paper: SU Real Red, Basic Grey, Whisper White
Card # 31

This second card uses a fun little technique thatI haven't used before. I used my Scorpal to score three little lines near the bottom, just above the sentiment. It's a little hard to see in the picture, but I liked the way it turned out.

Card Details:

Stamps: Alwa
ys - SU
Paper: SU Going Gray, Basic Gray, pink from unknown
Tools: SU organdy ribbon, Word Window punch

Olive You!

Hello out there! I just love everything punny, so when I saw this set from SU, I knew it was for me! I really like paper piercing, but I always seem to forget about it when I put the card together. I like how it puts just the right finishing touch on the card. I stamped the olive image again in a couple of circle punches for the inside.

Card Details:
Stamps: Olive You - SU
Paper: SU Old Olive, Whisper White, Old Olive DP
Tools: Paper peircing mats from SU

No Stamping Valentine

I made this card based on the Saturday sketch challenge here - mytimess20. This is my first challenge, and it was really fun. I definitely deviated from the sketch, but I love how this turned out!

There isn't any stamping on the outside of the card, although I did stamp "forever" on the inside from the SU set, "Wonderful Words II". It's a little hard to tell in the picture, but the square of patterned paper in the center is all embossed. It was actually pat of a sample wedding invitation, and came that way!

Card Details:

Stamps: Wonderful Words II - SU
Paper: SU Kraft, Soft Sky DP, Wedding invite
Accessories: SU Linen thread, SU clear buttons, red buttons
Tools: Heart die from Cuttlebug
Card # 22
